The Bonaventure Historical Society Participates in Georgia History Festival’s Super Museum Sunday
The Bonaventure Historical Society recently announced that it will participate in the Georgia History Festival’s Super Museum Sunday on February 9, 2025. Super Museum Sunday is part of the annual Georgia History Festival, the signature K-12 educational program of the Georgia Historical Society, reaching hundreds of thousands of students statewide.
Bonaventure Cemetery will join over 100 historic sites, house museums, art museums, and other points of interest throughout Georgia that will open their doors to the public, FREE of charge. They will offer a variety of in-person and virtual experiences that encourage Georgians of all ages to explore and experience the history, arts, and cultural opportunities of our great state.
Bonaventure Cemetery, as always, is free to explore from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Bonaventure Historical Society will have the visitor center open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., where you can find maps, postcards, and informational pamphlets about the history of this beautiful Victorian garden cemetery. At 2 p.m., there will be a free tour from costumed guides from the historical society. That begins in the Colonial Monument Gardens area. Super Museum Sunday is supported by SouthState Bank and The Coca-Cola Company.
